Australia’s First Turnkey Waste-to-Energy Export System
The Challenge
Quantum Power needed a processing line that could turn post-industrial manufacturing materials into a consistent, engineered fuel product for industrial and energy use. Rather than piecing the system together from multiple suppliers, which can mean higher costs, divided responsibility and less certainty on long-term support, they wanted one partner to take responsibility for the whole build: shredding, material handling and separation, engineered and integrated as a single system.

Our Solution
Eilbeck designed and built three turnkey lines, each pairing a dual-shaft primary shredder with a single-shaft rasper.
Together they take 200–300 tonnes a day of mixed materials down to a 3-inch (75 mm) fuel chip. The shredders use a split housing and frame design, so the complete rotor comes out for fast maintenance and cutter changes.
The raspers have interchangeable teeth and a hydraulic lid for easy access.
Around these machines, Eilbeck’s team designed and fabricated the Australian-made conveyor system, cross-belt magnets and eddy current separation needed to move material through every stage of the process, from waste intake to finished RDF output.

All machining, fabrication, painting, welding and assembly was completed in-house in Australia using BlueScope Australian steel, under ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified quality systems, with full engineering documentation delivered as part of the build. The complete line was assembled as a single export-ready unit at Eilbeck’s Ingleburn workshop, ready for commissioning on arrival in the United States.

The Result
Quantum Power got one supplier responsible for the entire line, from primary shredding through to finished RDF output, rather than coordinating multiple suppliers across the build. The complete line included three primary shredders and three secondary shredders, all built at Eilbeck’s Ingleburn workshop.
