Secondary Shredders

The right size, every time. Finer, cleaner material ready for recovery.

Secondary shredders, such as raspers, take material from the primary shredder and liberate it into a finer, more consistent product. Built-in screening controls the output size: material stays in the cutting chamber until it’s small enough to pass through, so you get the size you need rather than just a smaller one.

Liberating material frees valuable fractions for recovery and gives you a cleaner product that’s ready for further processing or direct resale. A controlled output size also helps downstream equipment run more efficiently, and cleaner recovered material sells for a better price. Eilbeck’s secondary shredders work alongside our primary range, so you can source your whole line from the one supplier.

Raspers

Once the primary shredders have done the heavy lifting, Raspers cut and chop material down further into smaller, consistent pieces and liberate material for recovery, making it ready for screening, further processing, or resale. Built for the toughest feedstock including shredded passenger and truck tyres, TDF and RDF, wire-free rubber chips, e-scrap, mixed plastics, cables, and commercial waste.

Key Product Features

Standard features:

  • Variable speed drive control: Adjust shaft speed to suit the material and get the most from every load.
  • Fluid coupling protection: Absorbs shock loads to protect the drive.
  • Hydraulic top shell lift: Fast, safe access to the cutting chamber.
  • Couplings for easy rotor removal: The rotors come out quickly without stripping down the drive.
  • Hydraulic screen drop: Quick screen changes and cleaning.

Optional extras:

  • Access platforms
  • Water spray hopper: Keeps dust down.
  • Water-cooled rotor: Controls heat in the cutting chamber.
  • Water-cooled housing: Controls heat in the cutting chamber.
  • Air system inlet: Draws air through the cutting chamber to cool it and remove dust.
